History of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences

In terms of formal legality, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences has existed since 2015 as stated in Permenristek Dikti No. 47 of 2015 dated 31 December 2015 concerning the Organization and Work Procedures of the UPR article 14, namely since the preparation for the establishment of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), the establishment of FMIPA began in 2015 by gathering teaching staff who had at least a Master's degree in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology). In 2016, a management team for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences was formed with offices in the UPR Integrated Laboratory Building. This team is tasked with making proposals for opening the Physics, Chemistry and Biology Study Program. Based on this proposal, the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education issued an operational permit for the SK Chemistry Study Program. The complete organizational structure is contained in the SK. Chancellor of Palangka Raya University No: 382/UN24/KP/2018, concerning the Appointment of Acting Dean, Deputy Dean and Head of Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, on 28 September 2018, and accepting new students through the SNMPTN, SBMPTN and SMMPTN routes starting in the 2018 academic year /2019 a total of 77 people distributed across 3 (three) Physics, Chemistry and Biology Study Programs.
