UPR PKM-RE TEAM PASSED THE 37TH National Student Science Week (PIMNAS) IN 2024

The Ministry of
Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) through the
Indonesian Talent Development Center (BPTI), the National Achievement Center
(Puspresnas) in collaboration with Airlangga University (Unair) as the host,
successfully held the National Student Science Week (PIMNAS) to -37 which was
held from 14 s.d. October 19, 2024. The 37th PIMNAS this time carries the theme
"Competing to hone the creativity of talented Indonesian students to
become solution, innovative and productive individuals." The
implementation of PIMNAS is a prestigious national level event which is the
culmination of the Student Creativity Program (PKM) selection process with 525
teams from 118 universities throughout Indonesia participating.
The
"Oilsorbent" team was the only team from UPR that had the right to
qualify as a participant in the 37th PIMNAS after competing with 43,000 other
teams throughout Indonesia. The team carrying the research theme related to the
modification of cellulose from baby diaper waste to overcome oil spills in waters
is included in the Exact Research (PKM-RE) category, chaired by Dimas Pramudita
and consisting of Yuneta, Oktavia Rahmi Wulandari and Tasya Amalia and
supervised by Riandy Putra, S.Sc., M.Sc. from the UPR FMIPA Chemistry Study
Program.
