Guest Lecture by UPR Mathematics Study Program with BPS Palangka Raya City

The Mathematics Study Program of Palangka Raya University successfully held a Guest Lecture on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at the PPIIG Ballroom on the 6th floor of Palangka Raya University. This activity presented speakers from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Palangka Raya City, namely Mr. Febrim Leksiando Sipayung, S.ST., M.I.D.S., M.AP. and Ms. Lita Jowanti, S.ST.

With the topic “Survey Design: Sampling Strategy and Questionnaire Design”, this guest lecture provides an in-depth understanding of the importance of designing a good survey, sampling techniques, and the preparation of an effective questionnaire.

The event ran smoothly and was enthusiastically attended by lecturers and students from the Mathematics Study Program. Through the presentations, participants gained practical insights into how data is collected and utilized to support development policies, as well as the role of Mathematics graduates in the field of applied statistics.

This guest lecture is expected to enrich students' knowledge and motivate them to delve deeper into the world of surveys and data analysis, so they are ready to face the challenges of the digital era.
