FMIPA UPR Holds Guest Lecture Activities from Osaka University

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Palangka Raya University is again carrying out guest lecture activities from Osaka University. This guest lecture activity was held on Wednesday, December 4 2024 in the Ballroom on the 6th Floor of the PPIIG building, Palangka Raya University. This activity started at 08.30 until finished with the guest speaker being Dr. Takahiro Ota from Osaka University. This activity was attended by students and lecturers at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Palangka Raya University with great enthusiasm. It is also hoped that this activity can play an important role in student readiness in supporting training in the world of work and creativity.

This event was attended by approximately 150 participants consisting of students from various generations, and also several UPR FMIPA lecturers. This event was opened by the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Made Dirgantara, S.Si., M.Si, followed by singing the songs Indonesia Raya, Mars Universitas Palangka Raya and Mars FMIPA UPR. The next event was the presentation of material by the speaker, Dr. Takahiro Ota from Osaka University as well as a question and answer session by participants and presenters, then closed with a photo session with the entire committee, resource persons and all activity participants.

The topic presented in this guest lecture is building a career in the Green Economy and its opportunities and challenges, where students are expected to be able to take advantage of career opportunities with the Green Economy concept. The expected result is that the Green Economy can offer promising careers, develop technical and non-technical skills, and build professional networks. With this provision, all participants can increase their insight and abilities in advancing scientific developments towards future employment opportunities.
